WFMV, a locally owned Glory Communications Station presents, Familyfest 2013.

Familyfest 2013 takes center stage, Sunday May 26th at Columbia’s Finlay Park. South Carolina’s largest and longest running  family festival and Memorial Day Tribute happens at 4pm, Sunday May 26th inside Columbia’s beautiful Finlay Park.

Gospel music fans from across the state will gather in the Capitol City for the 19th annual festival and ‘free’ concert featuring national recording artists and many of South Carolina’s most popular church and community choirs. Grammy-nominated and Stellar-Award winning gospel artist Tye Tribbett headlines this year’s concert along with Eddie Robinson, South Carolina’s own award-winning songwriter.  Attendees will enjoy a feast at the enormous food court with vendors offering everything from Bar-b-que to fried fish and more, plus rides and activities for children in the popular ‘Kids Korner!’

Familyfest 2013’s Memorial Day Tribute to fallen veterans recognizes the contributions of our veterans and their families to our country. The South Carolina Combat Veterans Group will conduct the Posting of the Wreath ceremony at approximately 6pm on May 26th.

Familyfest 2013 promotes education with the presentation of Future Leader Scholarships! This community initiative is a collaborative effort supported by community, church, corporate sponsors from around the state.
