Columbia, SC - Twenty One ebony beauties will grace the stage of the Little Theatre on the Benedict College Campus seeking to capture the covet title of Teen/Miss Black South Carolina and Miss Black South Carolina Princess. Celebrity Host of the Pageant is Wesley Jonathan. He is best known for his starring role as "Jamal Grant" on the NBC Saturday morning dramedy series "City Guys," the dim-witted "Gary Thorpe" on The WB sitcom "What I Like About You," "Sweetness" in the 2005 film, "Roll Bounce", and as "Noah Cruise" in the 2006 basketball film, "Crossover."

The Miss Black South Carolina Pageant will be on February 19, 2012 at 5:00 pm. Doors will open at 4:00 pm. General admission is $25, students with ID is $15.

Miss Black South Carolina Scholarship Pageant provides young women from across the State the opportunity to represent their community in a positive perspective, and to advocate for causes that are prevalent to their communities and their lives. The program helps young women develop their skills to be successful leaders and mentors, increase confidence, poise, improve interviewing skills and aptitude for public speaking.
